In Loving Memory, Pink Flamingo~1957-2006
.
Pink Flamingo was born in Leominster, Mass., yet spent many happy years in various Florida locations, enjoying summers on the lawn, often with family. He may have been plastic, but he had a heart of gold. Often found entertaining diners at kitschy restaurants and surprising unwitting birthday recipients, he was the epitome of tropical charm. He is survived by Garden Gnome, Whirligig and Frog Sprinkler.
The plastic pink flamingo, an icon of kitsch and Florida is now an endangered species. Due to rising costs the company that makes them plans to discontinue the production.
