About Me
I have been taking photos since I was ver young. Is used to steal my sister's Kodak Instamatic to take pictures around the house. She was always surprised by a few extra shots when she received her photos back. In addition, my family always took photos which is why you will find many dated back to the 1940's. These photos were well preserved over the years and I have been digitizing them to keep them a permanent as possible. While I had a Kodak 110 Pocket Instamatic as my first camera, I quickly became interested in SLR photography. Saving my money wisely I purchased a Pentax MX (which I still have) in the 1970's. This fully manual SLR was a great teacher of photography. Many of the Photos in the albums were taken with that camera. Including the 1980 Baltimore Fire Gallery which I consider some of the best photos I ever took. Sadly, the negatives have been lost so the scans of the photos are all I have. I later moved to a Nikon N50, auto-focus 35mm film SLR. This allowed me to take even better shots with a higher end camera. Once the true digital age arrived, I moved to a Nikon D70 and then a Nikon D300. I still use the D300 as my primary camera although it is living on borrowed time. I also shoot with a Nikon1 v3, mirrorless digital camera.
When Emily began playing softball, I found the joy of taking sports photos. I have a whole other website, www.softballphotos.net to feature those picture.
